How Democrats Used The Capitol Protest To Launch War On Terror Against The
On January 6, 2021, the United States Capitol was stormed by a mob of supporters of former President Donald Trump. The events that unfolded that day shocked the nation and sparked outrage across the political spectrum. While the immediate response focused on condemning the violence and holding the instigators accountable, it didn't take long for some politicians to seize the opportunity and exploit the Capitol protest to launch a new war on terror.
The Democratic Party, in particular, swiftly used the Capitol protest as a justification for their own political agenda. They framed the events as an attack on democracy and attempted to draw parallels to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. By doing so, they aimed to create a sense of fear and urgency, reminiscent of the early 2000s when the war on terror was first initiated.
Using long-tail clickbait phrases like "Democrats seizing power" and "Capitol protest as a weapon," they garnered attention from both their supporters and detractors. The strategy was clear: use fear and sensationalism to push through a broad range of policies that would have otherwise faced opposition or scrutiny.

The first major step in this post-Capitol protest war on terror was the rapid passing of the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act. In the aftermath of the attack, this bill gained bipartisan support due to its apparent goal of enhancing national security and preventing further acts of violence. However, a closer look revealed that it granted extraordinary powers to federal authorities to surveil and target individuals based on their political beliefs, potentially leading to the suppression of free speech.
Additionally, the Democrats used the events of January 6 as an opportunity to demonize conservative media and label them as purveyors of dangerous misinformation. They called for increased regulation and censorship, claiming that dissenting voices were responsible for inciting the violence that occurred at the Capitol. This narrative conveniently ignored the fact that the majority of Trump supporters who attended the protest were peaceful and law-abiding citizens exercising their right to protest.
The so-called "war on disinformation" moved beyond traditional media and targeted online platforms as well. Tech giants such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube swiftly cracked down on accounts and content that were deemed "dangerous" or "harmful". The line between legitimate concerns for public safety and suppressing opposing viewpoints began to blur, leading to accusations of biased censorship and the silencing of conservative voices.
Furthermore, the Democrats seized the opportunity to pass legislation that would further expand the powers of intelligence agencies and law enforcement. They argued that it was necessary to prevent future domestic terrorist attacks, but critics pointed out the potential for abuse and the erosion of civil liberties. The balance between security and individual freedoms became increasingly delicate.
While the events of January 6 were undoubtedly traumatic and deserving of a thorough investigation, it is important to question the motives and actions of those in power. Democrats used the Capitol protest as a means to advance their own political agenda, expanding the scope of government surveillance and control under the guise of national security.
The lessons from the war on terror that followed the 9/11 attacks should serve as a cautionary tale. The erosion of civil liberties and the suppression of dissenting voices should not be repeated or justified, regardless of the severity of the events that took place at the Capitol. It is vital to protect the core principles of democracy, even during times of crisis.
As the aftermath of the Capitol protest continues to unfold, it is crucial for the American people to remain vigilant and hold those in power accountable. Only through open dialogue and a commitment to upholding constitutional rights can the nation move forward and address the complex issues that divide it.
Despite the rhetoric and actions taken by some Democrats, the majority of Americans still value their liberties and democratic ideals. The Capitol protest should not be used as a catalyst for further erosion of those values but rather as an opportunity to strengthen and reaffirm them.
It is time to challenge the fear-based politics and ensure that the voices of all Americans, regardless of their political beliefs, are heard and respected. Let us not forget the lessons of the past and strive towards a more united and tolerant future.

"A great book by Julie Kelly. January 6: How Democrats Used the Capitol Protest to Launch A War on Terror Against the Political Right is a complete exposé of the left’s efforts to create violence and then exploit the violence to smear the Republican Party."
-Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States of America
"Julie Kelly is a singularly courageous journalist and indefatigable defender of truth. This is an eye-opening and breathtaking book that should be read by anyone who cares about justice, due process, and America’s future.”
-Mark R. Levin
The events of January 6, 2021, are being exploited by the Democratic Party and the national news media to criminalize political protest and free speech in America.
Americans were shocked and outraged to see chaos unfold at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. The melee shut down plans by some Republican lawmakers to object to Congress’s official certification of the 2020 presidential election results.
Democrats, the news media, and many leading Republicans immediately blamed the roughly four-hour disturbance on President Trump. The president “incited an insurrection,” the American pubic was told. It prompted a second impeachment trial of Donald Trump after he left office.
But one year later, the original narrative of what happened that day has crumbled while hundreds of Americans have been swept up in an unprecedented investigation led by Joe Biden’s Justice Department to punish them for their involvement in the January 6th protest. The public has been misled—and flat-out lied to—about a number of aspects related to that day. This book exposes them all.
